The US Vice president team Kamala Harris seeks to hold a second round of debate with her opponent in the presidential election, Donald Trump, already in October. According to Washington Post, citing insider sources, the decision was made before their first meeting, which took place on September 11 in Philadelphia.
Earlier, Donald Trump called for three rounds of debate from Harris, but it was not clear if he would agree to the second stage after the first fight. Both candidates have decided to abandon the system of three debate, which is usually organized by the Presidential Debate Commission.
During the first discussion, Trump and Harris discussed economic development, migration crisis and Russian-Ukrainian war. Trump twice escaped a direct answer to the question of the victory of Ukraine, saying that he would be able to complete the war in 24 hours, while Harris accused him of intention to hand over Ukraine: "If Trump was president, Putin would have been sitting in Kiev," she said.
According to a CNN survey, 63% of viewers believe that Harris won the debate, while 37% supported Trump. Before the debate, both candidates had equal support - 50%.
