Georgia continues to supply dual -use goods to Russia, despite the application for compliance with Western sanctions. This became known to investigate the Georgian edition of IFACT. Products such as drones, computer processors, GPS devices and memory maps, get to Russia through Georgia.
According to the investigation, these goods come to Russia both directly from Georgia and several other countries. Statistics for 2023-2024 shows that the export of dual-use goods from Georgia to Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries amounted to $ 10.7 million.
In particular, since last year, exports of radio -seizure equipment, electronic integrated circuits, digital data processing blocks, and sound and image transmission equipment have increased significantly.
Although in Georgia since 2014 there is a list of goods that require special permission for export, the investigation has shown that new sanctions circumstance schemes continue to function. For example, IFACT journalists were able to arrange drones from Tbilisi to Samara through Kairos Logistics, which specializes in goods that fall under sanctions. Similarly, integral schemes were sent to Russia through Cargo Rapido, registered in Georgia.
The Georgian authorities, in particular the Speaker of Parliament Papuasvili, continues to refuse to impose sanctions against Russia, stating that this could lead to escalation of the conflict.
