Hackers attacked Swiss government websites

The Swiss Federal Administration was a hacker attack that happened on Friday morning. According to the Federal Office of Information Technology and Telecommunications (FOITT), hackers attacked phones, e -mail, websites and specialized government agencies. Within 45 minutes, the system has experienced significant interruptions.

Nevertheless, the government assured that data leakage was avoided. "Thanks to the countermeasures, the situation was stabilized," FOITT said.

The incident was caused by a DDOS attack, during which the attackers overload servers with many requests by blocking access to online resources. Currently, FOITT, in conjunction with the Federal Cyber Security Office (FOCBS), is analyzing the event and working to identify the necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

This is not the first case of hacker attacks on Swiss government sites. In June 2024, during a conference on Ukraine, which took place in Burgensta, federal websites already became a target of pro -Russian hackers.

Experts say that DDOS cyberattacks are becoming more common. They urge the governments of the countries to invest in modern cyber defense technologies to counteract new threats in digital space.
