Hamas agreed to the truce on Trump terms

Hamas Movement responded positively to US Expatient Initiative Donald Trump to cease fire in the Gaza sector for a period of 60 days. About it reports The Times of Israel with reference to informed sources in the negotiation process.

Hamas representatives have made a requirement that the truce would not be the final step and that the negotiations of the complete termination of the fighting continue after the expiration of the 60-day period. According to one of the spokes of the movement, the key topics of the discussion should be the exchange conditions: how many Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for every Israeli hostage, as well as what amount of humanitarian aid will receive.

According to the text of the previous agreement, the parties are obliged to negotiate "in good faith", which will allow to extend the truce after the start of the initial term.

The project of a peaceful initiative provides a five -stage exchange: the release of living hostages and the transfer of the bodies of the dead Israelites in response to the gradual release of Palestinian prisoners.

The plan also includes the partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from the northern and southern areas of Gaza, which are now under the control of the Israeli Army. The condition of withdrawal is the beginning of additional rapid negotiations. In addition, the enclave must be supplied to a much larger amount of humanitarian aid.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhah is expected to go to Washington on Monday. Financial Times reports that Trump seeks to achieve official confirmation of the truce during this visit.
