Hamas is disappointed with the US over the Gaza ceasefire

Hamas expressed a deep disappointment and loss of trust in the United States as a mediator in ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Sector. According to the Associated Press, the group has stated that it requires focusing on the implementation of President's proposals Joe Biden from May, otherwise it may refuse to participate in the negotiations.

According to Hamadan, Hamas will only take part in the negotiations if they are focused on the implementation of the proposal, designed in detail by US President Joe Biden in May and supported by the International Community.

Hamdan also accused Israel of dishonesty and stated that the group did not believe that the US could or would be pressed on Israel to enter into an agreement.

We have informed the intermediaries that any meeting should be based on discussing the mechanisms of implementation and setting terms, not on negotiations about something new. Otherwise, Hamas sees no point in participating in it,

- said the group representative.

US leaders, Egypt and Qatar have initiated urgent negotiations between Israel and Hamas on August 15. The purpose is to conclude a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages.
