The Palestinian group Hamas announced his readiness for the "immediate" ceasefire with Israel in the Gaza sector. This statement has been received after a series of negotiations with the participation of international mediators aimed at the de -escalation of the conflict, which has been going on for several weeks.
This is reported by Reuters.
It is noted that Hamas is ready to cease fire in gas on the basis of a preliminary supply of the United States without new conditions by either of the parties.
Hamas statement states that their negotiation group, led by a high-ranking official Khalil Al-Hayya, met on Wednesday, September 11, with intermediaries, which included Prime Minister Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Tani and the head of Egypt's Intelligence.
“Negotiations have not yet led to an agreement on the termination of the 11-month war. The problem of control over the Philadelphia corridor, a narrow strip of land on the border of gases with Egypt, ”remains unresolved,” the message reads.
The preliminary proposal made by US President Joe Biden in June provided a three -stage cease ceasefire in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages.
The war in Gaza began after the attack of Hamas fighters on Israel on October 7. At that time, 1,200 people were killed and 250 hostages were captured. According to the Ministry of Health Gaza, at least 41 084 Palestinians were killed as a result of the offensive of Israel and 95,029 people were injured.
