India bypassed China by the volume of Russian oil purchases, according to Reuters, citing sources. Last month, Russian oil made 44% of the total oil imports to India, reaching a record 2.07 million barrels per day. This is 4.2% more than June and 12% more than a year ago.
This figure exceeded the volume of oil imports from China from the Russian Federation in July, which was 1.76 million barrels per day.
According to the source of the publication, the demand of India for Russian oil will increase until there is no further strengthening of sanctions.
