India is in search of a balance between relations with Washington and Moscow

The world political map is re -arranged, and India, the state with several geopolitical statuses, is actively looking for its path in this new distribution of forces. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendri Modi, India is an important difficult game, strengthening relations with both the United States and with Russia, not forgetting its national interests.

Bloomberg writes about it.

When the Cold War split the world into two camps, the new independent India became the founder of the Non -Union Movement - a group of countries that did not stand on the side of Washington or on the side of Moscow. According to Bloomberg, for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has retained some elements of this policy unchanged. In particular, fashion strengthened ties with the United States, but at the same time continued to develop ties with Russia.

As a sign of Russia's importance for India, Modi will meet with President Vladimir Putin on Monday as part of his first foreign visit after election of the head of government for the third term. According to the news agency, New Delhi and Moscow have been maintaining strong ties since the Cold War. Bloomberg calls India as a reliable buyer of Russian weapons and oil. Against this background, the country "stands out among the leading democratic countries" with its unwillingness to criticize Russia or condemn it for the war in Ukraine.

For its part, the United States, according to Bloomberg, consider India as an important ally in their desire to restrain China, and therefore try to avoid the risk of aversion to New Deel with criticism of predictable human rights or relations with Moscow.
