China and Indonesia have announced a new initiative aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine. China Special Representative Lee Huai and Indonesian authorities have agreed on joint efforts to restore dialogue and find the political settlement of the crisis.
The special representative of the Chinese government from Eurasian cases, Lee Huai, during the train to Indonesia, suggested that the conditions for the restoration of direct dialogue and negotiations for the settlement of the "Ukrainian crisis", he announced this in negotiations with the Director of America and Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Umag.
Note that the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine still has the risks of escalation and distribution, Lee Huai said that a priority for all parties is a joint work "to mitigate the situation".
Lee recalled that earlier China and Brazil announced their "peace plan" of six points, he, according to the Chinese government representative, received a positive reaction of the international community.
Lee stated that China is ready to cooperate with Indonesia to jointly create the conditions “for the speedy restoration of direct dialogue and negotiations between the corresponding parties”
In turn, Hadi stated that Indonesia praised China's leading role in promoting the political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine "and highly appreciates the positive role of agreements reached by China and Brazil.
"Indonesia is ready to cooperate with China and the corresponding parties to maintain the principles of collectivity and inclusivity and a joint search for a solution to the crisis," he said.
