Iran prepares a nuclear breakthrough in the shortest time

American intelligence reported that Iran is considering an accelerated version of nuclear weapons. About it writes The New York Times with reference to sources in the US government.

According to intelligence services, Iranian scientists and engineers are looking for a way to turn accumulated nuclear fuel reserves into warheads in a shorter time - in a few months, not years. These data were collected at the end of Joe Biden's cadence and were handed over to the National Security Team of New President Donald Trump.

According to the report, Iran already has a sufficiently enriched uranium to create four or more nuclear warheads. In 2018, Donald Trump derived the US from the 2015 nuclear agreement ( SVPD ), after which Tehran resumed the active production of uranium.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyaga, who arrived in Washington, has repeatedly considered the possibility of impact on Iranian nuclear facilities. However, according to journalists, Trump is in no hurry to conflict and hints at the possibility of new negotiations.

US officials suggest that Iran can create nuclear weapons on simplified technology, which will complicate its use in hostilities, but will allow the country to declare its nuclear status. Such weapons will have a restraining effect, forcing opponents to view the plans of attacks on Iran.

President Masud Pesshkian has repeatedly declared his readiness to negotiate a new Agreement, however, according to American analysts, the country's military leadership can act autonomously.
