Iran's Parliament approved the bill on suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). 221 deputies voted in favor of the decision, there was no vote against, one deputy kept. The document obliges the Iran government to terminate interaction with the agency.
The Speaker of Parliament Mohamad Bager Galibaf commented on this decision, saying that IAEA had lost its international authority due to the refusal to condemn the attack on Iran's nuclear objects. He called the agency's actions irresponsible and thus emphasized Tehran dissatisfaction.
At the same time, the final decision on suspension of cooperation should be made by the High Council of Iran's national security. Only after its approval will the bill come into force. The situation indicates a further aggravation of relations between Iran and the international community in the nuclear sphere.
