Israel decided to ban the entry of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The decision comes amid heightened conflict in the Middle East and Israeli outrage over Guterres's stances, which Tel Aviv says show his support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iran.
"Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran's heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil. This is the Secretary-General who has not yet condemned the massacre and sexual atrocities committed by Hamas killers on October 7, and has not led any efforts to declare them a terrorist organization," Israel Katz said.
After yesterday's rocket attack on Israel, Guterres called for an end to the escalation in the region.
"I condemn the escalation of the Middle East conflict with escalation after escalation. This has to stop. We absolutely need a cease-fire," wrote the UN Secretary General in Kh.
