Israeli attacks on the city of Rafach in the south of the Gaza Sector have led to the death of more than 30 people and injury to dozens of others, according to locals. Planes, tanks and ships were involved in these blows, which, according to them, led to damage to two mosques and several houses.
According to other sources, the number of victims may be even higher: according to Al Jazeera, at least 50 people were killed.
Intense shelling caused panic in Rafah, as many people slept when the attack began. Some inhabitants expressed fear that this could be the beginning of an Israeli terrestrial operation in the city.
Representatives of the Israeli troops reported on Monday, which completed a "series of blows" on the southern part of Gaza, without opening the details.
Local residents claim that two mosques and several houses were destroyed during the attack.
US President Joe Biden urged Israel to refrain from attacks on rafhi without a proper plan to protect the civilian population.
