The Israeli Defense Army (Tsakhal) carried out air strikes on military facilities in southern Syria. This was reported on February 26 by the press service of the Tsakhal, as well as the edition of The Times of Israel .
According to the official report of the Israeli army, team centers and warehouses with weapons were the target of strikes.
"In the last few hours, team centers and several weapons have been attacked," Tahal noted.
Israeli military stated that the presence of Syrian forces and other military groups in the region is threatened with Israel's safety, and they are ready to continue operations to prevent possible threats.
Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed the strikes of Syria and stressed that the country would not allow the south of Syria into another zone similar to South Lebanon, where the Pro and Hezbollai Proyran group operates.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyaga and other officials have repeatedly expressed demand to demilitarize the southern part of Syria.
"Any attempt at the Syrian regime and terrorist organizations to fix in the safety area in the south of Syria will be met by fire," Katz said.
These blows have become part of the wider tension between Israel and Syrian forces. Tel Aviv is concerned about the potential intensification of Iran's influence in Syria and possible blows in their territory.
The official Damascus has not commented on the attack yet, but earlier Syrian media reported explosions south of the capital.
