Israel strikes Gaza, fierce fighting in Rafah

Israel struck several areas of Gaza, causing rigid battles in Rafah in the south of an enclave. The locals report that the fighting intensified in the Tel-al-Sultan area in the west of Rafach, where Israeli tanks tried to break through the north. Hamas and Jihada fighters said they were in line with rocket and mortar shelling.

Since the beginning of May, terrestrial battles have been ongoing in Rafah, on the border with Egypt, where half of the gase population lives. Most residents were forced to leave their homes. Israel reported that it would soon end the battles in Rafach, and then move to less significant gas operations.

The Israeli military declared the liquidation of Hamas's fighter, who was smuggling weapons across the border with Egypt. Also struck on military buildings and tunnels. Three more Palestinians were killed as a result of these blows and several were injured near the Jabali camp in the north.
