Kamala Harris will not conduct negotiations on Ukraine without the participation of Kyiv

The candidate for the post of US President and the current Vice president Kamala Harris said she would disagree with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine without the participation of Kiev. She reported it during an interview for CBS News.

Answering the journalist's question whether negotiations between Washington and Moscow without the participation of the Ukrainian side were possible, Harris categorically rejected this opportunity. “A bilateral basis without Ukraine is not. Ukraine must have the right to vote on the future of Ukraine, ”she stressed.

Harris also noted that the end of the war should comply with the principles of the UN Charter and cannot be implemented without the participation of Ukraine itself. According to her, this factor is decisive for achieving the successful result of any negotiation.

With regard to the issue of Ukraine's accession to NATO, Harris answered it, noting that the United States support Ukraine in its ability to defend itself from Russian aggression, but the issue of Ukraine's entry into the Alliance will be discussed if it came.
