The Canadian manufacturer of Roshel armored vehicles opened the plant in Ukraine, moving some of its production closer to the front. This was reported by the CEO of Romas Shimonov during the International Conference “Protection of the Future of Ukraine: Security Guarantees and Demand for Recovery and Reconstruction” , Ukrinform .
"The company was opened two months ago, and now it is actively working," Shimonov said. According to him, for safety reasons, the company does not reveal the location of the production facility, as the plant can become a "desirable target for the Russians".
Roshel is known for supplying armored cars for military and security forces in different countries, including Ukraine. The opening of the plant in the Ukrainian territory was a strategic step in the context of war and increasing demand for protected equipment.
The CEO stressed that the company has accessed unique human capital.
"We have incredible people - with abilities, knowledge and experience that can be implemented in true decisions. You will not find such anywhere else," Shimonov said.
It is the first known transfer of part of the military production of the Western company directly to Ukraine in a full -scale war.
