Kazakhstan refuses to join BRICS

Kazakhstan does not yet plan to join the BRICS association, said the press secretary of the country's president Uali. According to him, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received proposals for membership, but currently gives priority to work within the framework of the United Nations (UN).

Tokayev repeatedly emphasized the importance of the UN as a universal and irreplaceable organization that serves as a platform for discussing current international issues. He believes that within the framework of the UN, it is possible and necessary to solve problems related to the creation of a just world order.

Thus, Kazakhstan, choosing the UN as a priority platform for international cooperation, refuses to join the BRICS. This position reflects Tokayev's desire to focus on global issues through existing international structures, which he believes are capable of providing more effective dialogue and solutions.
