Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov reported an increase in the number of North Korean artillery at the front. According to him, the military cooperation of the DPRK and Russia poses a serious threat to international security and will have long-term consequences for the Asia-Pacific.
In an exclusive interview with the South Korean edition of The Chosun, Budanov noted that North Korea actively supported the Russian army in the war against Ukraine. Despite significant losses - about 4,000 soldiers of the dead and seriously wounded - the DPRK units continue to participate in hostilities. In addition, Russia and the DPRK deepen cooperation in the fields of military technologies, science and industry.
Budanov drew attention to the modernization of the North Korean rocket KN-23 , which previously had an error from 500 to 1500 meters. Due to Russian experts in the intervention, the accuracy of this rocket has improved significantly, which creates a new threat to South Korea and Japan.
The head of Ukrainian intelligence expressed his hope for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea. He stressed that the exchange of intelligence information and combat experience could be mutually beneficial because both countries have a common enemy - DPRK.
