In the context of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine, the rule is that men under 25 years of age are not subject to conscription. In April 2025, some categories of young citizens may be mobilized.
According to the Law on Mobilization Training, men who already have the status of a conscript may call the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This applies to the following persons: graduates of military departments or military universities-after obtaining a military accounting specialty. Men who served in peacetime. Persons who passed an alternative (non -military) service. Former police officers, State Customs Service, or other power structures that have been dismissed.
These categories of citizens can participate in mobilization for up to 25 years, if they have appropriate training or military experience. At the same time, mobilization does not apply to persons under 25 years of age who have never passed military service and have no military experience.
