Pensioners of internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have previously blocked pension payments will be able to receive several months of accrued funds at once. This will happen after successful identification. In April 2025, some of such pensioners will receive double -size payments in April 2025. The relevant decision is envisaged by the Government Resolution No. 637 “On the implementation of social payments to internally displaced persons”.
According to the rules established by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, displaced persons who receive a pension through an account at the State Savings Bank must undergo physical identification every half a year. This is necessary to prevent payments to invalid or fictitious accounts and to confirm that the pensioner really resides in Ukraine. If the displaced person has not been verified on time, pension payments are temporarily blocked. However, after successful identification, the funds are returned in full for the entire suspension period. To unlock the pension and receive accrued amounts, IDPs need to be identified by the end of March. There are several options available: personal visit to the Savings Bank or Pension Fund; remote authorization with the help of a qualified electronic signature "Action. Signature" ("Action ID") on the PFU E-Services portal; video identification through PFU contact center or application on the E-Services portal; From abroad-in a Ukrainian diplomatic institution that will testify that the person is alive and then transferred to the PFU.
If the displaced person has already been identified but has not received funds yet, payments must be received in the next payment period. In the case of delays, this may be due to the additional time required to process data in the Pension Fund.
