The Kremlin responded to Trump's statement about Ukraine

The Kremlin responded to US President Donald Trump's statement about Ukraine, in which he expressed his willingness to continue helping Kiev in exchange for rare land resources. The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on February 4 that it was in fact a proposal to transfer American assistance to a commercial basis.

"If you call things by their names, it is a proposal to buy help. That is, not to continue to provide it on a free basis, namely to provide it on a commercial basis. It is better, of course, not to assist at all and thus contribute to the completion of this conflict," Peskov said.

In addition, the Kremlin spokesman confirmed that the United States continues to supply weapons to Ukraine. He stressed that no one declared the termination of supply, so their supply continues.

Peskov also commented on Trump's statements about the desire to end the conflict as soon as possible, noting that the Kremlin has not yet understood the exact content of these words, and therefore cannot be evaluated.

The Kremlin's reaction to Trump's proposal indicates the negative perception of any support of Ukraine by the United States, even if it is commercial. At the same time, Washington's position on military assistance remains unchanged, confirming the facts of continuous supply of weapons of Kiev.
