The Kremlin has put forward an ultimatum to Ukraine under the threat of conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine should recognize the results of pseudo -referendums in four temporarily occupied regions, otherwise Russia will consider the possibility of restoring large -scale armed conflict. He made such a statement in an interview with Sky News Arabia .

According to the Russian leader, it is about Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, which Moscow illegally declared "part of the Russian Federation" in 2022 after staged votes not recognized by the international community.

In addition, Putin voiced additional conditions: neutrality of Ukraine, rejection of accession to any military unions (including NATO), guarantees of refusal of nuclear weapons, as well as "protection of rights" of the Russian-speaking population.

In his speech, Putin also traditionally accused Western countries of lighting war, saying that Ukraine allegedly became an instrument in the hands of external forces operating against Russia.
