Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that at the moment in Ukraine are actively working on establishing dialogue with China. The main purpose is to organize a telephone conversation between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Secretary of Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping.
"Now we are trying to establish another telephone conversation between the heads of China and Ukraine, as there are issues that they can discuss, in particular, the formula of peace proposed by President Zelensky as a way to restore just and strong peace in Ukraine," he said.
Earlier, the Chinese government refused to meet with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Davos, Switzerland. This was due to the absence of the head of the Middle Kingdom at a meeting with China Prime Minister Lee Tsan.
In addition, Chinese government banks have increased control over Russia -related operations, responding to US warnings against possible secondary sanctions. This led to a revision of business relations of at least two significant banks of China from the Russian Federation.
Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Mao Nin, expressed support for all efforts to restore peace in Ukraine. China's position in the "crisis in Ukraine" remains consistent, emphasizing the need to resolve issues through negotiation.
