As a result of shelling by Russian troops, the Dam of the Kurakhiv Reservoir was damaged, which led to the outflow of 15 million cubic meters of water. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin. According to him, despite the considerable leakage of water, the flooding of residential buildings in the surrounding territories has not been recorded.
The villages on the Vovcha River were also not injured, and there is no danger of flooding. At the time of 16:00 on November 12, the Regional Military Administration continues to monitor the situation to respond promptly to possible changes.
The head of the region stressed that the situation is under constant control of the relevant services, and all measures to prevent emergencies in the event of a deterioration of the situation have already been prepared.
