On March 8, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported active fighting in eastern Ukraine, in particular in the Kursk region. Over the past day, the Ukrainian military reflected 26 attacks of Russian invaders in this direction, which indicates a high level of threat in the region. In addition, 124 combat clashes were recorded, most of which took place in Kursk and Toretsk.
Due to the effective actions of aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 12 areas of concentration of equipment and personnel of the enemy, destroy the management point, radio electronic struggle station, as well as five artillery systems and a means of air defense.
An important moments of the last day were the reflection of the attacks in Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lymansky, Kramatorsk and other directions. On the Kharkiv Front, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled four attacks of the enemy in the Volchansk and Red First. In the Kupyansk direction, units of defense forces stopped several storms near Petropavlivka, Zarizovy and Kupyansk.
In the Liman direction, the enemy made 17 attacks, trying to advance to the Greek, Tornsky, Yampolivka and in the directions of New and Novomikhailivka, but all these attempts were thwarted by the Ukrainian military. The forces of defense also successfully repelled two attacks in the Seversky direction in the Bigorivka area.
In particular, the intense situation in the Toretsky direction, where the enemy conducted 26 attacks near Diliyivka, Friendship, Dachny and Toretsk. However, Ukrainian defenders were able to stop aggression and hold important positions.
In general, the situation on the front remains difficult, but Ukrainian troops continue to reflect the attacks effectively and cause serious losses of the enemy. In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of formation of offensive groups by the enemy have been found.
