China presented the first autonomous Shai agent

China has announced the creation of the first in the history of an autonomous artificial intelligence agent, which is able to make decisions on its own and perform complex tasks without human intervention. This new agent, called Manus, is a significant step forward in the development of AI and challenges a modern idea of a person's role in technology management.

Unlike chatbots such as Chatgpt, Gomini, Google or Grok, which require human intervention to perform tasks, Manus functions on its own. He is able to independently analyze the situation, make solutions and perform tasks without direct control by the person.

For example, if the user asks Manus to find an apartment, AI will conduct a comprehensive study, evaluate various factors such as crime, weather and market trends, and provide individual recommendations. Importantly, Manus uses not one, but a few specialized AI models that work together for effective task.

Another difference between Manus and other AI systems is its ability to work asynchronously. This means that the agent performs tasks in the background and reports the user only after the results are ready, unnecessary.

The development of such autonomous agents changes the approach to the use of AI in different areas, opening new opportunities for automation of complex processes. However, it also raises new issues about safety, ethics and possible consequences for the labor market.

There is also a new global context: some experts believe that the appearance of Manus changes the balance of power in the development of advanced AI technologies. They believe that China can already catch up, and possibly overtake the United States, becoming a leader in the creation of autonomous AI systems.
