In response to the decision of the US Presidential Administration, Donald Trump to double the tariffs for Chinese imports to the United States, China introduced counter -sanctions, limiting the activities of 26 US companies. Most of these companies have close links with the Pentagon and participate in the development or supply of weapons for the US army. This announcement was made by the China's Ministry of Commerce on March 4, 2025 as part of the National Protection and Security Strategy of China.
China has banned the sale of dual -purpose goods to 15 US companies that are directly producing or participating in the development of weapons. This list includes large defensive players, such as General Dynamics Land Systems - one of the world's largest landscaping manufacturers, as well as Shield AI , specializing in the development of aerospace technology, including drones and battle planes based on artificial intelligence. LEIDOS , which is engaged in scientific, engineering and technical services for the US Defense Ministry, also came under sanctions
These sanctions prohibit the export of dual -purpose goods from Chinese manufacturers to these companies. All current export operations must be stopped immediately. However, in the case of special circumstances, the company may apply to the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC for obtaining export supply permission.
As part of the second package of counter -measures, China will also bring in its "black list" 10 more US companies, which are mainly operating in aviation and radio technical industries, providing services to the US military. These firms will be forbidden to engage in import and export activities with China, as well as to conduct investment activities in the China.
The third package of sanctions concerns the biotechnology company Illumina , which deals with the development and sale of integrated systems for genetic research. Illumina is forbidden to supply generators used in biotechnological studies to China. This company is an important player in the gene section market and has an international impact by working in more than 155 countries.
