Latvia is preparing to release the first Patria armored vehicles of its own production in August

Latvia has announced that the first Patria armored vehicles will be ready for release in August.

Latvia's Defense Minister, Andris Prauds, said that this year 25 Patria armed forces will be delivered to the National Armed Forces (NSC).

"It is planned to produce about 30 such armored vehicles annually," the minister added.

The production of new full cycle armored vehicles starts in May at Sia Defence Partnership Latvia.

Representatives of the Latvian Ministry of Defense noted that such a scale of production of military equipment has not been in the country since the restoration of independence.

Patria 6 × 6 armored vehicles are selected for the total CAVS armored vehicles for several European countries, including Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Germany.
