Lithuania President Gitanas Nauseda has declared a delay in the supply of promised artillery shells for Ukraine by the European Union. He noted that this is due to the disabilities of the military-industrial complex. The President stressed that Lithuania and other countries have not yet reached the required volumes to continue Ukraine's military support.
He also mentioned a financial package of 50 billion euros from the European Union, designed to support Ukraine. Nauseda noted that political will to approve this package exists. However, there are questions about the sufficiency of these funds for a longer period of time, since the amount should be divided by years. This means that the average annual amount will be less than 18 billion euros allocated this year.
However, the Lithuanian President stressed that countries are ready to review this issue if Ukraine really needs additional funding. This indicates a willingness to support Ukraine at a difficult time.
