Loris Karius can end his career at the age of 31

German goalkeeper Loris Karius, known as the "anti-hero" of the 2017/18 Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid, may end his professional career at the age of 31. According to journalist Nicolo Scira, Karius is thinking about his future and is seriously considering the option of an early end to his football career.

Karius became widely known for his performance in the Champions League final, where he committed two blunders that led to goals for Real Madrid. This match was a turning point in the career of the goalkeeper, who was never able to return to his former level after that.

In 2023, Karius finished his contract with Newcastle, where he was not the main goalkeeper, and has been without a club since then. Despite trying to find a new team, including a search in Italy, where he is in a relationship with TV presenter Diletta Leotta, the goalkeeper has been unable to sign a contract with any club.

Karius started his career at Mainz, later joined Liverpool, where he became famous on the international stage, but after an unsuccessful Champions League final, his career went into decline. He later played for Beşiktaş, Union and Newcastle, but was never able to return to his former form.

Karius is currently at a crossroads in his career and, according to sources, he is seriously considering ending his football career at such a young age.
