The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko shared important information on the restoration of construction work at the Okhmatdit Children's Hospital, which was damaged during a rocket attack. According to him, construction work concerning the restoration of the hospital should begin in May or early June this year, after the completion of all the necessary stages of preparation.
Currently, the main stage is the completion of the development of project documentation, which is an important component of preparation for construction. Already in April it is planned to complete all examinations and launch auction to choose a contracting organization, which will be engaged in the restoration of construction work.
Minister Lyashko noted that all the work should be completed before the cold this year, which is an important aspect for the hospital to function in the autumn and winter. Ohmatdit is one of the largest children's hospitals in Ukraine, and its restoration is a key task for the Ministry of Health.
The captured heart of the hospital, which preserves the health of thousands of children across the country, was seriously damaged by rocket attack, which led to significant destruction and temporary cessation of some medical services. The restoration of this institution is a priority of the government, as OHMATDIT is one of the main medical care centers for children, including difficult cases of treatment and surgery.
The recovery process will include not only repair of damaged structures, but also modernization and updating of medical equipment to improve the level of medical services. It is planned that after recovery, the hospital will be able to effectively continue its work and provide highly qualified help to children.
Construction work is expected to be carried out at a high technical level, complying with all modern standards and safety requirements, in particular in high risk for infrastructure.
Thus, the restoration of Okhmatditis will be a symbol of the restoration of important medical institutions of the country after the large -scale destruction caused by the war, and another step towards strengthening the medical infrastructure of Ukraine in the conditions of new challenges.
