Lithuania agreed the first tranche of 10 million euros to support the production of long -range weapons for Ukraine. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov confirmed this information after signing the relevant Memorandum with Lithuanian colleague Laurinas Kashchunassus in Vilnius.
This Agreement is part of long -term cooperation, which envisages assistance in the development and production of Ukrainian weapons, in particular within the framework of the Project "Palyanitsa". Lithuania is actively working on the finalization of all bureaucratic procedures to ensure the effective use of these funds.
During the meeting, the ministers also discussed priorities for 2025, including the preparation and equipment of Ukrainian brigades, providing ammunition and air defense, as well as the development of cooperation in the defense industry.
