The Elysee Palace denies the concern of the visit to the visit after the Russian rocket fell near the Greek Prime Minister in Ukraine last week.
Paris - French President Emmanuel Macron postponed a long -planned visit to Ukraine because of tensions with allies because of his increasingly aggressive comments on Russia.
The visit was postponed several times and was initially planned for February and then transferred to the middle of March. On Sunday, France's Presidential Palace states say that the visit will take place "for the next few weeks."
The Elysee Palace rejected the assumption that security had played a role in delaying after the Russian rocket hit the Prime Minister of Greece, Kiriakos Michotakis, during a visit to Ukraine last week. "There is no safety concern," the President's assistant said on Monday.
In recent weeks, Macron has intensified anti -Russian rhetoric, causing irritation among allies, especially in Germany. Last week, Macron noted that Europe should not be a "coward" in front of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, after in February it announced that Western Land Forces in Ukraine could not be "excluded".
Instead of rushing to Kiev, Macron now wants to "give the necessary time" to discuss with the Allies so that he can visit Ukraine "with tangible results", according to a French diplomat who discussed this delicate issue on anonymity.
"It takes a little time to [conclude] different coalitions and their operational obligations with our partners," the diplomat said.
French President actively supports the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine from non -European partners and adjusts the Coalition from a distant radius of action for Ukraine.
