Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has concluded contracts for almost UAH 130 billion with 12 Ukrainian weapons under the Victory Weapon Program. This initiative is aimed at supporting the national defense industry, creating new jobs and strengthening the country's economy in war. Thanks to the program, Ukraine not only strengthens its defense capabilities, but also promotes the development of domestic production.
Victory Weapon Program allows you to build long -term partnerships with Ukrainian weapons. According to Gleb Kanevsky, Director of the Department of Procurement of the Ministry of Defense, this initiative not only guarantees the stability of supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also enables the development of the defense industry, which is important in the current conditions.
"We need to ensure the predictability and sustainability of this process. The program allows us to create jobs, support the national economy and, importantly, increase the country's defense capability," Kneevsky emphasized.
The mechanism of the program involves the conclusion of long -term contracts for a period of three to ten years for Ukrainian weapons and military equipment. In order for the manufacturer to become a participant of the program, he must undergo codification, establish mass production and reach the localization level of at least 50%.
These requirements contribute to the development of domestic production and allow for high standards of quality and efficiency of domestic weapons and equipment. The program also provides the opportunity to create new technological lines and modernize existing capacities, which is an important aspect for maintaining the economy in war.
One of the main goals of the program is not only to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also to strengthen the national economy. In war, this is extremely important because the expansion of weapons production not only to strengthen the country's defense, but also to maintain the domestic market, creating jobs and providing national production.
