The European Union will officially start negotiations on Moldova's accession to the community on July 4. This was announced by Romanian President Nikusor Dan during the EU leaders summit on June 26.
The negotiation process starts at the EU Summit - Moldova, which will take place in Chisinau. The first will be the "Fundamental Value" cluster, one of the 33 sections of the negotiation frame. Representatives of the European Commission and leaders of the EU Member States will take part in the event.
According to Romania President, the opening of this section is an important step in the integration of Moldova into the European Union. He stressed that negotiations will consist of many stages that will evaluate the country's progress in detail in accordance with European standards and norms.
Thus, on July 4, it will be the beginning of the official and systematic process of Moldova's accession to the EU, which opens to the country the prospects of in -depth cooperation and economic development.
