The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Dorin stated that the countries of Europe, Ukraine and Moldova themselves are interested in removing its troops from Transnistria. In particular, he expressed his hope for the possibility of resolving this issue within the limits of future negotiations.
In an interview with Jurnal TV, he stressed that an international context was formed, which could contribute to the withdrawal of Russian troops from the left bank of the Dniester. At the same time, he noted that this process is unlikely to be peaceful and fast. However, he believes that in the framework of negotiations concerning Ukraine and the new European Union security architecture, a real chance to resolve this issue may arise.
The Prime Minister also stated that the Republic of Moldova would actively work to ensure that this issue becomes an important part of future negotiations, focusing on the importance of security in the region.
