Moscow did not expect breakthrough decisions during the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, but declared a number of important arrangements. This was announced by Russian President Dmitry Peskov on a briefing on June 3.
According to him, to wait for instant results would be wrong, but the work is ongoing. The Kremlin's reached arrangements are reached, in particular in the humanitarian plane, and will be implemented. Russia is currently expecting Ukraine's reactions to the so -called memorandum.
Peskov explained that this document is intended to help eliminate the causes of the conflict. It outlines several variants of possible solutions, and he, according to the spokesman, contains many details that need discussion.
At the same time, Peskov stated that in the near future a tripartite meeting of leaders of Russia, the United States and Ukraine is unlikely. He noted that the Russian President supports the idea of such contacts, but only after certain arrangements have been reached at the technical and expert level.
The Kremlin has confirmed that the negotiation process will continue, but do not expect rapid changes in the format or content of the discussion.
