The Government of Ukraine has decided to simplify the procedure for obtaining passports for men aged 18 to 60, which are outside the country. Now, in order to issue a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a foreign passport, men no longer need to personally present a military accounting document that greatly simplifies the process.
Interior Minister Igor Klimenko informed that employees of foreign units of the state enterprise "Document" will check the status of military accounting through an electronic register. If there is no information about the man in the register, it will be entered automatically and the citizen will be placed on military accounting with the formation of the relevant document in electronic format.
One of the main advantages of the new order is that the procedure of registration of the passport does not require the passing of the medical commission. Instead, the passport will be issued within a specified time without additional bureaucratic procedures, which greatly simplifies the lives of Ukrainians who are abroad.
This decision was made to fulfill the President's task to improve the provision of public services to citizens outside the country. Simplifying this process, the authorities seek to make important documents more convenient and accessible to Ukrainians, regardless of their location.
