Half of the countries will be represented by leaders at the Peace Summit

Switzerland, Viola Amgerd, has announced that about half of the 90 member countries of the Global Peace Summit in Burgenstock will be represented by heads of state and governments. In the course of the press conference, which took place on Monday, she noted that the other half of the countries would be represented by ministers and other departmental representatives.

According to Amgerd, representatives of a number of international organizations, including the UN, as well as the Vatican and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, will also be present at the summit.

In her speech on the participation of individual countries, Switzerland President stated that Turkey has confirmed her participation, but the participation of Brazil and South Africa is "officially not confirmed".

"However, of course, the list of participants may change by the last day. Therefore, we can finally determine who will be present and who is not, by Friday night," Amgerd added.

Swiss President also noted that at least 90 countries will participate at the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, among which half represent the so -called "Global South" - South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
