The second semifinal of the Eurovision-2025 International Competition, which took place in St. Jacobsgalle, did not cost without unpleasant incidents. Israeli representative, singer Juval Raphael, who performed with the song New Day Will Rise, faced a hostile reaction from the part of the audience.
During the performance, Juval staged a bright show with props, and in the broadcast was heard how the audience actively supported the artist with applause. However, the situation was different in the hall - many pro -tapeear protesters, who in advance except Israel from the competition, came with the flags of Palestine, and during the performance of the song, the Israeli participant was shown loudly.
Because of this, the organizers had to intervene. Since only applause was heard on the live, it was obvious that Juval Raphael's applause was imposed to hide the dissatisfaction with some of the audience in the hall.
