The National Bank updated the rules of non -cash payments

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has recently approved new rules for non -cash payments in UAH that meets European standards. These changes are aimed at improving the regulation of payment transactions in Ukraine and approaching legislation to European requirements.

The updated rules were adopted on the basis of the European Parliament and the Council (EU) No. 260/2012, which establishes technical and commercial requirements for credit transfers and direct debit. These changes will help Ukraine integrate into the European payment system and increase the transparency and efficiency of financial transactions.

  1. Clarification of payment instructions : NBU clarified the procedure for making payment instructions initiated by the recipient. This will avoid confusion when filling in payment documents and will ensure a clearer and faster execution of payment transactions.

  2. Informing the implementation of payment instructions : now payment institutions are obliged to notify the payers about the acceptance of their payment instructions for execution. This will allow the payers to know exactly if the instruction was successfully accepted for processing.

  3. Message of transfer of funds : in case of receipt of transfer, payment institutions will have to inform the recipients about the transfer of funds to their account. This will increase the transparency of financial transactions and avoid misunderstandings.

  4. Mandatory payment details : According to the new requirements, payment institutions must indicate the mandatory details on payment instructions issued by clients. This will allow the process of registration of operations more standardized and avoid mistakes.

  5. Distribution Details: The NBU clearly distinguished the details of payment documents issued by state executors and the State Tax Service of Ukraine. This will make the calculations more convenient for government agencies and their customers.

  6. Cancellation of compulsory seal for electronic payment instructions : one of the important changes is the cancellation of the requirement for the mandatory use of the seal for electronic payment instructions. The seal remains only for paper documents, which will greatly simplify electronic document flow.

These changes in non -cash payments will bring some relief to business and individuals. In particular, the cancellation of the seal for electronic payment instructions will reduce the administrative burden on enterprises and government agencies. Now more attention will be paid to the quality of filling in payment details, which will increase the speed of operations and reduce the likelihood of errors.

In addition, business and individuals will receive timely information on the status of their payment instructions, which will allow to manage financial flows more efficiently and reduce the likelihood of misunderstandings.

The National Bank of Ukraine plans to continue to improve the country's payment infrastructure to meet the highest international standards. New rules are expected to help develop electronic payments, reduce operations and increase financial transactions.

Making such changes to the regulation of non -cash payments is part of a broader strategy for Ukraine's integration into an international financial system, which will provide more convenience for users and facilitate business in the country.
