On January 23, 2025, the National Bank of Ukraine introduced a commemorative coin "External Intelligence Service of Ukraine", dedicated to the Office, which plays a key role in ensuring the national security and sovereignty of the country. The coin was presented by the NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny and the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Oleg Ivashchenko.
The coin has not only aesthetic value, but also hidden symbols that will be a call for enthusiasts.
On the obverse, the coin depicts a cross - a symbol of the new departmental symbolism of the Foreign Intelligence Service. In the center of the Cross is a trident, framed by the Latin slogan Omnia Vincit Veritas ("Truth Win everything"). Around this element, the outlines of the map symbolize the global scale of the service are depicted.
The peculiarity of the coin is the coded text: the first three words of the name of the department, the "External Intelligence Service of Ukraine", transferred to the Morse alphabet, as well as a stylized trident with encrypted words on the reverse. For this purpose they used the code of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and a special code word chosen by the service.
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has announced a competition among decryption specialists. During the specified period, participants will be able to reveal the hidden message. The results of the competition will be published six months after the coin is put into circulation, and the text of the decrypted message will be part of the official description of the coin.
