National Cashback in February decreased by 8%

In February 2025, the amount of funds accumulated by Ukrainians within the program of the National Cashbek program decreased by 8%. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the total amount of accumulated funds has reached UAH 384 million. This is the second month in a row, when there is a decrease in cashback volume after stable growth in the previous months.

In February, the number of users of the program was 3.2 million, which is 200 thousand less than in January this year, when the number of participants reached 3.4 million. This indicates some decrease in activity among Ukrainian consumers, which can be caused by various economic factors, such as changes in income or reducing overall purchasing power.

The National Cashback program allows Ukrainians to receive a refund for purchases of goods from Ukrainian manufacturers. Cashback is available for 373 thousand different goods offered by 1760 manufacturers. Despite the decrease in the amount of money accumulated, the demand for goods with Cashbeck is increasing, which indicates a change in consumer habits and strengthening the support of the national producer.

In order to get cashback, consumers must accumulate a minimum of 2 hryvnias in their account and activate cards for payments through the Action Appendix. Cashback payments are made on various goods, including medicines, books, utilities, as well as services registered in the program. In addition, the funds can be sent for charity, in particular to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, noted that although the volume of cashback decreased in February, the government continues to actively support the program. She also emphasized that, despite the temporary decrease in cashback volumes, Ukrainians are increasingly leaning to buy goods from local producers, which is an important element of the development of the national economy.

"We see how consumer behavior is changing in favor of Ukrainian, in particular, demand for goods with Cashbeck is increasing. This is a positive signal for the country's economy," Yulia Sviridenko said.

Considering such trends, the government will continue to work on improving the program, as well as expanding the range of goods available for cashback, which will stimulate the demand for products of domestic producers.

The national cashback remains an important tool for Ukraine's economic strategy because it promotes the development of the domestic market and supports national producers. Even with the reduction of accumulated funds in February, the program continues to be an important element of financial support for citizens and to encourage consumer expenses in Ukraine.
