The tallest Christmas tree in Romania has fallen, but the holiday in Brasov continues

Last week, an unfortunate incident took place in the center of the Romanian city of Brasov: the country's tallest Christmas tree fell on the main square of Sfatului. The tree, 29 meters high and weighing about 17 tons, brought from the picturesque pasture of Poiana Brasov, became the main festive decoration of the city.

According to the Romanian publication PortalNews , the Christmas tree fell on December 5. Although the cause of the fall has not been officially disclosed, strong winds or insufficiently strong construction are considered the most likely factors. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The local authorities promptly responded to the event and promised to restore the Christmas tree in order to preserve the festive atmosphere in the city.

The incident caused a wave of discussion in social networks. Some users expressed surprise and joked about the event, while others criticized the organizers for possible negligence in the installation of the tree.

Already on December 8, the Christmas tree was successfully restored, and it shone again on the central square of the city. Romanian singer Alexandra Ungurianu posted a video with the glowing illumination of the holiday tree on Instagram, confirming that the holiday was saved.

This tree, which has become a symbol of the winter holidays in Brasov, continues to decorate the main square of the city, adding a special charm to the festive Christmas atmosphere.
