The UK Prime Minister, Kir, Starmer, shared the details of the incident that occurred in May this year, when his private home was attacked. According to British law enforcement officers, citizens of Ukraine are among the suspects. The older told about it in an interview with The Times.
According to the prime minister, during the attack, the noise was heard by his wife's sister, who immediately caused emergency services. In his opinion, it was thanks to her care that avoided more serious consequences. The older acknowledged that the event had left a strong emotional mark on his family and could turn much worse.
In conversation with another edition, The Observer, the head of government, mentioned his previously said phrase about the risk of transforming the UK into "island of strangers". He regretted these words and noted that he did not provide for their possible ambiguous interpretation. According to the prime minister, he regrets that the said historical associations could have caused.
As for the incident itself, it is known that on May 12, a fire broke out in the house of the older. The real estate, which at the time of the incident is estimated at about two million pounds, was purchased by the family in 2004 for 650 thousand pounds. Prior to moving to Down Street in July last year, the family lived in this house, located near the home of energy Minister, Ed Milelynda and actor Benedict Cumberbetcha.
In the case of arson, the police charged three men. Roman Lavrinovich, a 21-year-old citizen of Ukraine, is accused of three cases with a risk to life. Stanislav Karpyuk, 26, a Romanian citizen, is accused of plotting for arson. Petro Pochinok, 34, also a citizen of Ukraine, is suspected of involvement in the same conspiracy. Another suspect was detained on June 2. The investigation is ongoing.
