According to Dmitry Lazutkin, the speaker of the 47th separate mechanized brigade, for the Ukrainian soldiers in the hottest points of the front, the main difficulty is constant internal tension and moral fatigue.
Intensive infantry storms from Russian troops, accompanied by daily aviation attacks with the help of managed airbombs, are ongoing in the Donetsk region in the Donetsk region. This was reported by Lazutkin during the national telemorathon.
"There are virtually no significant changes in the line of contact where our brigade holds the defense. The line sometimes fluctuates hundreds of meters during the offensive, and we successfully reflect it. The fighting last daily and night by night," Lazutkin emphasized.
He noted that it is difficult for the Ukrainian military to keep positions in unstable winter weather, because the infantry has to work in extreme temperature conditions. He also noted that enemy artillery and FPV-the fields complicate the situation, but Ukrainian forces respond effectively to their actions.
Lazutkin reported that Russian occupation troops have increased the intensity of attacks, but now they are performing them in a "torn" rhythm, trying to find weaknesses in Ukrainian defense. He also noted that the invaders often resort to infantry units to reduce the losses in equipment.
"From personal conversations I can say that there is some moral fatigue. However, there is an understanding of the purpose of our struggle, support from brothers and belief in commanders is something that supports and helps," Lazutkin summed up, adding that the military needs rest and replacement of forces.
