NATO on Ukraine's membership in the Alliance

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the Alliance confirms the prospect of Ukraine's membership in NATO, but is currently focusing on military support. This statement was heard during a press conference in Brussels on December 3.

  1. Ukraine's future in NATO:
    Rutte emphasized that partners agree that Ukraine will become part of the Alliance. At the same time, the emphasis is on the gradual development of relations that build "bridge to membership".
