On January 19, the NATO headquarters in Brussels held a presentation of a new military strategy for the North Atlantic Alliance, which is aimed at the introduction of Ukraine to the Alliance members and strengthening the defense capability of the Eastern Federation to contain the Russian Federation and strengthening European security, Guildhall reports.
The strategy was developed and represented by Dr. Philip Carber, President of the Potomac Foundation, and Lieutenant General Trevor Kadier, resignation, representative of the Canadian Armed Forces. The presentation was also attended by the director of Potomac Foundation Peter Halpin. The authors of the strategy make proposals for the potential directions of the new military strategy of the North Atlantic Alliance in the face of modern geopolitical challenges. This strategy has been response to increasing threats, in particular, European security, caused by aggressive policies and military actions of the Russian Federation.
The strategy involves the formation of new centers for deterrent to Russia, which include both existing (Poland, Finland, Romania) and potential members of the Alliance (Sweden, Ukraine). The report highlights the special role of Ukraine in the new Alliance military strategy and emphasizes the need to support Ukraine by NATO in its efforts to restore territorial integrity and protect national sovereignty.
Particular attention is paid to the idea of Ukraine's membership in the Alliance, which is regarded as an important tool for ensuring stability and peace in Europe in the medium and long term.
We will remind that before NATO Vilnius Summit President Potomac Foundation, Professor Philip Carber and Lieutenant-General Trevor Kadie presented the report "Where is the Strategy of Relations of Ukraine and NATO", where it was concerned about the absence of a long-standing and notion of a long-standing. Ukraine's membership in NATO to implement such a strategy in Eastern Europe.
