Scientists have determined the most beautiful city in the world and it is not Venice

Scientists have recognized Chester, located in England, the most beautiful city in the world, leaving Italian Venice in second place in the ranking.

The research used Google Street View to evaluate the architectural features of the city by the method of "golden section" - a system of proportions used by scientists and artists of the centuries. This method is based on the idea that objects that correspond to these proportions are perceived by people extremely beautiful.

According to the results of the study, Chester was a leader where 83.7% of the analyzed buildings corresponded to the golden intersection. Venice took second place with a result of 83.3%, and London completed the top three with 82%.

Chester is famous for its historical importance, including the Millennium Cathedral, the largest Roman amphitheater in Britain and the oldest racetrack in the country.

Dr. Rebecca Andrew, a professor of Chester University history, shares the words of a traveling writer Morton, who praised the city in his works. It emphasizes the uniqueness of Chester's history and architecture that fascinates people.

Colin Potts, the former tourism manager of Chester, adds: "Sometimes his beauty can be accepted as something of course, but in fact, it is a key factor that attracts visitors and investors. They discover not only the beauty but also the people, the history and culture of Chester."
